CheckPointSpot respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
1. Data We Collect
When you register for an event we collect your name, identification/passport number, date of birth, gender, nationality, contact number, email address, mailing address, emergency contact details, t-shirt size and payment information. We may also collect medical information that you voluntarily provide.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To process your registration and payment and to issue your confirmation slip and race bib
- To share with the event organizer and its timing, insurance and logistics partners for the purpose of conducting the event
- To publish race results and finisher certificates
- To contact you with important event updates
- To send you newsletters and promotions if you have opted in
3. Disclosure
Your data will be disclosed to the organizer of the event you registered for, our payment gateway providers, courier partners (for entitlement delivery) and insurance providers. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Payment card details are processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway partners and are never stored on our servers.
5. Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above and to comply with legal obligations. Race results are retained indefinitely as part of the historical event record.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, or correction of, your personal data, or withdraw your consent to marketing communications, by emailing [email protected].
